An extensive social programme is planned with many events being held on the University of Limerick campus as well as the surrounding Limerick area. The programme is designed to introduce the conference delegates to the varied social and cultural aspects that only Ireland can offer. The social programme is split into two different categories:

• Day programme: A tour of some of the highlights found in the West of Ireland to include the magestic Cliffs of Moher and the unique limestone Burren area which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Night programme: The night time programme will include a Welcome reception in the University Concert Hall atrium, a BBQ in the famous Stables bar on campus and a closing banquet for the conference.

The social programme for accompanying persons also includes the welcome reception, BBQ and banquet. In addition the following tours have been arranged:

• Limerick City walking tour, to include King John's Castle, St. Mary's Cathedral and the Hunt Museum.
• Bunratty Castle and Folkpark.
• Day tour to The Adare Heritage centre and Killarney.
