GENERAL INFORMATION
Our aim is to create a four day symposium which will be remembered for the scientific quality of the proceedings, the friends made and reacquainted, and the traditional Irish welcome that will provoke a return visit. These aims can all be achieved formally and informally and it is our intention to structure the conference to allow for both to be successful.
The formalities will continue to be observed - e.g. the Geoffrey Dyson lecture is a highlight of any ISBS conference - but the informal meetings of two minds that think alike (or in fact differently!) is also a highlight of any conference. Therefore the programme includes sufficient time to break away from the rigid structure and talk with other people, another great Irish tradition.
The University of Limerick and Limerick City cater excellently for visiting delegates with plenty to keep the mind and body occupied; internationally recognised restaurants and the famous Irish pub culture along with the best sporting facilities in Ireland right on our campus. Possibly the most beautiful campus in the world, it is a relaxing yet thought provoking destination. Exactly what is required of any successful conference venue.
